Shakilus Townsend Documentary (Factual)

Purpose
The purpose for this is that it's to inform us not to join or be associated with any gangs as it is very dangerous as you can end up getting stabbed or killed.

Music
At the start of the documentary the music connotes that it's going to be very upsetting as the music sounds very sad.After this, the music starts to change to become louder and louder, this then makes the music in the documentary more effective as it fits well with the documentary and what is actually going on inside of the documentary. Then the music starts to change again by gaining a quicker tempo (this is when the ex girlfriend leads Shakilus Townsend to his death, around this scene after the murder has happened whilst the music is playing there is a narrative that then explains what is going on. Also, the music is more effective when the mom starts talking about how he trusted the ex girlfriend but she ended up to be someone he just couldn't trust as I'm pretty sure he broke her heart and she is still angry and upset over it.

Narrative
Throughout the whole documentary that are explanations of what is going on and what happened for him to get stabbed so aggressively. The overall message for this documentary is not to be involved with any gangs whatsoever as it's to fatal to be apart of. The theme for this documentary is gangs and violence.

Audience
In terms of audience, this documentary will be for teenagers as it's usually thing that some teenagers will be apart of as they are many teenagers around in the world who are associated with gangs or might be involved with one some how. I wouldn't really say that this type of documentary is for young children just because of the violence that happens inside of the documentary. I would say that the audience for this documentary is probably teenagers and adults.

Sound and Visual Effects
In terms of sounds and visual effects, there are many different types of sound that happens in this documentary for example when Shakilus is getting stabbed and he cries out for his mum saying these exacts words "I want my mum, I don't want to die". This was one of the sounds that made the documentary very very upsetting and sad for everyone to watch. In terms of visual effects, i don't think there were many inside of this documentary.

Hello everyone my name is Kevin Omari and i picked media because I done it for GCSES and I really enjoyed it. In general, media is fun because you get to make films and make posters on photoshop. The films are very enjoyable to make as you can use IMovie to help develop your film. For example, when you make your film you add more camera shots and improvements to it. Another reason I chose Media I choose Media is because you are able to do editing with other people in your group.


I enjoy playing football and I support Arsenal FC. In general I like to watch football and watch youtube.  My hobbies are: listening to music, playing games, social media, cooking, reading and dancing. In my spare time, i like to play on the Playstation 4. My favourite foods are Jellof Rice with salad and chicken, curry goat, jerk chicken and rice. My favourite fast food place is KFC but I don't mind having Pizza Hut. My family originated from Ghana but living in England with me right now.
